Whirlpool Duet Sport. Replace my door seal, could not get the wire clam on the outside of the door!?
It does not leak. Does it have to be on the outside door? It works fine without it.
I took the old cracked door sea off and replaced with the new one. I put the big screw on clamp on the inside of the drum, and got the seal on the front of the door. Could not get the spring clamp on for nothing. I read on one post that the outside clam in not needed. Is that true? i am using is it is not leakin it is working fine !
installed outer clamp by myself many times, and it a b*tch sometimes, i take a pair of needle nose pliers and stick in one loop of the spring and a small screw diver in the other and stretch and install, of course i have it on as much as i can and have my knee holding one side, should be easy if you can get another set of hands, and yes it needs to be installed
