HELP FLEA'S IN THE HOUSE!!!! no pets......?
Hi
I am really hoping somebody can help me. I was looking after two kittens for a freind whilst she was away and since they have left my house is covered in fleas.... I cant get rid of them and they keep coming bk.
Firstly are they dangerous... I am really worried as i have a small baby.. We are both covered in bites...
Secondly i have tried a few things but somehow they keep coming back. I firstly purchased flea spray - sprayed everywhere possible they came bk, i repeated this process again but they came bk. I then bought flea powder used that and sprayed again. Left the house for a few days ive now come bk and thay are still here..... Theres not so many but they are still hopping about the place and biting....
What can i do, What can they do, What happens if i cant get rid of them. Please help....................
Also where do they live, i know its the carpets but would they live on my curtains? In teddybears? Bedding? Clothes? Washing basket? Hoover? Tumble dryer?
One thing you could do is to call a local veterinarian and ask for advice.
A couple of ideas:
Buy a flea collar and put it in the bag of your vacuum cleaner.
Flea bombs. You need at least one per floor of your house, and they aren't free -- they were ten bucks apiece years ago-- but they're worth it. You get all ready to leave, close the house up, give the baby to someone outside to hold, run around setting off the bombs, and go somewhere for however many hours it says on the can. If I had a small baby, I'd give it extra time, and then I'd come back and open the windows an hour or so before bringing the baby back.
I don't think this kills the eggs, only the fleas, so you might have to do it twice.
Or maybe the vet has better ideas.
